Now then, I've delayed posting this because well, I may sound like a total idiot, but every decent shot you get of Layton's gun, you'll notice the barrel is empty.

When he's got Molly held hostage and they go down the stairs and we hear that gunshot, is it actually fired? Because when it's fired, Nobody reacts but Alex. So did it actually happen? Alex runs down the steps and the police follow her but that's as far as it goes.

Then when he's in the back of her car, you see the gun barrel again, you still cant see any bullets. The only time we see any bullets is when its fired at her and you see the little explosion from the gun and hten the whole slow motion bullet. But between the bullet going in her head and the views of the gun barrel, he doesnt load it. So what I'm asking, is if she was shot at all?

It could be the case of her just falling down the steps to the beach, banging her head and either dying or coma time. Or even crashing her car!

I've always delayed this post because I half expect the answer "There's no bullets because he keeps using them"
It was a friend of Bollybird's that pointed it out and well, I just couldn't stop thinking about it because the first ten minutes are apparently crucial to the whole story, so if she was never shot, that sorta mixes things up a bit.

Ooh! I must admit that I've never noticed this. (Must have another look....)

I'm too busy looking at Sean Harris. *blush* :Eyebrows:

You don't sound like an idiot :biggrin That's actually a really good point that I hadn't noticed. You can hear a gun cock in the weird bit just before Layton drags Alex onto the boat, but you don't actually see him load it, just hear the sound.

Don't forget, Alex made a big thing of telling us (and everyone else) that "I saw the bullet..." Now how could you possibly see a bullet travelling towards you? UNLESS the entire thing was in your mind...

Maybe the bullet she really saw was the one that killed Molly?
