Although, as someone replied, the search we saw of the lfat was just to find the 'evidence' that was planted.

BUT the BBC site says Summers watches Alex sleep.
So I think he's definately been in her flat because she's been left a rose in there. I wouldn't mind betting that Summers has had a good snoop around the flat.

And remember, we see heaps and heaps of tapes in Alex's flat during the search...this has to be important because everything is significant.

What's to say that she didn't keep recording things in the years gap between the first series and the second? Maybe she's got shitloads of tapes lying about with stuff on them which we'll find out about later?

lol....I had an image just then of Gene opening a cupboard in her place and just being swamped by all those tapes...

This is one of my fav episodes it had everything and it proved one thing wants
I never really liked Jackie in LOM but i loved her in this.

Dunno if anyone else noticed, but the guy who plays Ralph's lawyer is the bloke who does the drink drive advert when he's the barman but he plays the guys boss/girlfriend/police/car dealer etc. as the guy 'decides' whether to have a drink or not. He's very good in the advert! Bit underused in the episode...

This has got to be me fave episode out of S2, if not all together. Anyway, I've just re-watched this ep (for the millionth time) and spotted a few things - sorry if I repeat anything that's already been mentioned:

1. When Alex tells Gene she wants respect from Jackie whilst they are stood in the kitchen, there is a poster of a woman behind Gene. Why is it there? It was in the photographers flat just a few minutes ago...

2. Alex talking to Jackie in her flat. Anybody think Alex looks a bit... ..when Jackie says Gene wasn't ment to have kids?

3. How does Gene manage to just walk into Alex's flat after she has the dream about Molly? By this point she's freaked out about Summers (and him leaving roses ETC) so she would have locked the door...wouldn't she?

4. In 2.1 Kevin Hales says something like "I'm just a pebble on the beach" to Alex, and in this ep Gene says "Just another grain of sand on the beach, I suppose"....hmmm...probably nothing I just thought it was weird how the're almost the same. Plus Gene and Mack go on about beaches in the west country when they are searching through Alex's flat...

5. How the hell did that rose get on the specials board in Luigis? Seriously. The place was pretty much empty when Alex noticed it, so they would have SEEN somebody draw it...and I think Luigi would have too. Unless LUIGI did it...but of all the things to draw...

These are the things that I always notice when I watch the ep and it's really annoying!! Thoughts?

Ive often wondered how Gene got into Alex's flat and she didnt seem suprised to see him neither.

I've just re-watched this episode recently, it is one of my favourite from series 2, actually from both series-i just love Alex's jealousy over gene and jackie, especially in the one scene when gene proposes. We often see litte snippets of jealous gene when Alex talks to other male characters but we rarely see a jealous Alex.

I also always wonder how gene gets into alex's flat (love his face when he looks at alex and jackie and the bed ) and why isn't she surprised. Is it significant or just a mistake. Martin Summers also manages to get into her flat in later episodes
