Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks it may have happened! Unfortunately I don't think we'll be proved right or wrong, it'll be left to our own interpretations, hopefully, until next series, when we'll get the on-screen confirmation we've wanted since episode one!

Much as I would love something to have happened between them after the 2.7 glasses of wine I have my doubts that antyhing did.

I have a feeling that they probably knocked back the wine, had a whinge (cos Gene wasn't in a happy mood) and Gene more than likely spent the night on the sofa.

The only place anything has happen is in my head.
I expect they have had a few moments, perhaps a comforting arm, but i don't believe they would have broke the physical barrier just yet.... we'll have to wait and find out if they do in series 3!

As much a Galex-enthusiast as I am and as much as I can see how it would have easily slipped in between 2.7 and 2.8, I really really hope there wasn't any off-screen. I hope MG and AP would not be so mean as to give us what a LOT of fans (but not all I know) want to see but in a way that we can't actually see it.

Although it would certainly help enforce some of the scenes seen in 2.8 (Alex slapping Gene, the 'thought we were the ones, thought we had a connection' line, Gene on the rebound turning to Jenette etc.), I think that they have such a strong bond between them anyway that when Gene thought he couldn't trust Alex anymore it probably did feel to him like he had lost a lover. Even though they never reached that point it was like they were having a relationship in every other way and Alex must have been the most important person in Gene's life and vice versa.

I apologise for the double post but I just wanted to clear up the fact that the phrase "I can see how it would have easily slipped in between 2.7 and 2.8" in my previous post ^^^ in regards to Galex was not intentional :ROFL:

My subconscious obviously wants something to happen as much as I do :biggrin
